Anne Voigt was granted the Fritz-Prosiegel-Scholarship after her studies of school music at the Academy of Music and Theatre in Hamburg and finished her academic education with the orchestra diploma at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin. She was employed at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg as a saxophonist and bass clarinettist and has been playing as guest in leading German orchestras such as the Rundfunksinfonieorchester Berlin, the Bamberger Sinfoniker and the Deutsche-Symphonie-Orchester. She is working with various chamber music ensembles and founded the Berliner Saxophon Ensemble in 1999 where she makes use of the baritone saxophone, the bass clarinet and the rarely heard bass saxophone in her role as "specialist for low frequencies". As soloist she plays on a regular basis in saxophone and organ duo soundPipes with Kirgisian organ player Mirlan Kasymaliev. contact: |
